On Thursday 8 October the Migropolis exhibition opened at the Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa in Piazza San Marco. Many students and faculty were involved in the project, from the initial laboratorio of Wolfgang Scheppe with Valeria Burgio, through the long and careful editorial design and writing process, to the final exhibition designed and curated by Veronica Bellei, Katerina Dolejsova, Nera Kelava and Marie Letz, and the website by Miguel Cabanzo. Extraordinary tenacity brought the project to fruition. It is a triumph: the ideas are important and timely; the work puts a human face on statistics and illuminates the demagoguery surrounding immigration; the book is beautiful and communicative. We are proud to teach in a school which sets itself such challenges.
